so after years of laughing about how shaq couldn't make a free throw to save his life, and praying that someone - anyone - would knock the Lakers off their throne, I realize that I was wrong about Shaq. Somewhere along the line, I confused my feelings of love and hate, and actually, I quite like Shaq. It started when I heard his interviews on The Ticket, because how can you hate any guy with a sense of humor like that? And then his public fued with kobe...if you're forced to pick sides, how do you not side with Shaq? And then the icing..this article on espn.com. The whole thing is full of reasons to like the guy, but this is at the top of the list. When asked about how he has been wronged by the Lakers organization, shaq had this to say...
"But just don't tell me one thing and do another. Because you insult my intelligence like that. Just tell me. I ain't tripping. But the good thing about this country we live in, somebody will want this. Someone will want the Diesel."
Someone will want the Diesel.
I love this guy.
