the stills - still in love song
so my impatience got the best of me, as usual, and I went to Central Market on saturday morning for the sushi class. It was very cool...we spent two and a half hours slurping miso soup and learning how to make some yummy sushi rolls. and let's be honest...mine looked better than those of anyone sitting near me. i knew i was japanese in a past life. i knew it. anyway, i bought some tuna steak at whole foods yesterday and i'll be making sushi tomorrow night...so we'll see how it goes. and don't worry...pictures are coming.
I was planning on commenting about the DDay anniversary last weekend, but I never got around to it. I went to France when I was around 14 and walking on the beach at Normandy is one of the most amazing, emotional things I've done. ever.
this past weekend was really enjoyable, which is a good thing since I have to work 6 days this week, including a loooong 14 hour day on saturday in the hot texas sun. anyway, this past weekend was spent mountain biking, celebrating jessi and chris' birthdays, kicking cocky boy ass in scene it, mini golfing, watching a horse race on tv (what?), stuffing my face with sushi and vegetable tempura, and enjoying electricity. sounds funny, sure..but go without it for three days and see how you feel.
i've done 25 years of research and now i can safely say: mosquitos love jewish blood.
